Is a childbirth education class really worth it?

If you’re here, there’s a good chance you’ve already started preparing for birth. You’ve read articles. Maybe downloaded a checklist. Had a few conversations. And still, there’s this quiet question in the background: “Will I actually know what to do when the time comes?”

That’s such a normal place to be.

Because most birth prep focuses on information. But birth isn’t just something you think your way through. It’s something you move through. Feel through. Respond to in real time. And that’s exactly what this class is designed for.

What makes Birth & Baby Skills & Drills different?

Most childbirth classes are lecture-based. You sit. You listen. You take notes. And then when labor starts, it can still feel unfamiliar.

This is different.

Birth & Baby Skills & Drills is a hands-on, practice-based experience where you and your partner will:

✔ Practice comfort techniques in real time
✔ Learn how to support each other during contractions
✔ Build confidence through repetition (not just information)
✔ Understand how to create a calm, supportive birth environment anywhere

So when labor begins, you’re not guessing. You’re responding with something that already feels familiar.

A quick note for partners

You're not just “along for the ride.” You are a huge part of this experience. And you don’t need to have all the answers to be an incredible support person.

In this class, you’ll learn exactly how to:

  • Stay grounded

  • Offer meaningful support

  • Feel confident in your role

So you can walk into birth feeling prepared.

What you'll walk away with

By the end of this class, you’ll feel:

✔ More confident in your ability to handle labor
✔ More connected as a team
✔ More prepared for postpartum and early parenting
✔ Less overwhelmed by the unknowns

Not because you memorized everything. But because you’ve practiced.

FAQs

Q: What if I’m planning an epidural?

Q: What if we don’t know anything yet?
A: That’s perfect. This class is designed to meet you where you are.

A: Due to the hands-on nature, we recommend attending all sessions, but we’ll do our best to support you if something comes up.

Ready to feel more prepared for birth?

There’s a moment in almost every birth where things feel intense. Where you might think, “I don’t know if I can do this.” And then something shifts. You feel supported, grounded, and capable. That shift doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from preparation, practice, and support.
